The Senior Photo experience is a BLAST! As you can see from the slideshow images, I get great results! In fact the photo above was actually taken prior to the session when I told her I was getting ready. Just testing the light. You see, you take better photos when the presure's not on, and you're comfortable!

It starts with a casual interview about what you want your photos to look like.

I want to hear and see your vision of what your photos look like when we've completed them! If you have a specific idea of where you'd like to have them shot, or if you need some suggestions.

Do you want studio shots as well as outdoor or "environmental" shots? I can do both, but I prefer creating something special "on location", and we have some great places to create the perfect portrait in Central Oregon!

Last year I shot Senior Photos from Ft. Rock, Gilchrist, Crescent Lake, La Pine, Sunriver, to Bend.

The best time to shoot outdoor natural light photos is at dusk or dawn, or in a cloudy or covered location if shooting during the middle of the day. Keep in mind that some of the best shots can come right as it's about to turn dark and you have the magic of what only the sky can provide in a vast array of color.

I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to getting the right set of shots, so it's not uncommon for me to take 200-400 shots during our session.

Since it's all digital, the film is essentially free! And, we won't stop until you are satisfied! Your session fee includes a custom photography session, 1-2 hours of shooting time, a preview of your photos on my website. I'll ask you to pick out your favorites, and I'll pick a few of my favorites to professionally process and edit to your liking.

You can't get a photo image like the one above without knowing what you're doing. It took us alot of test shots to get the light just right for this shot of Jena. And then several different pose options. Photography is all about the management of light, and how to use it to your advantage to create the best quality image possible.
